Nashville Auditions on American Idol Tonight

I can't handle it. Tonight is the Nashville auditions on American Idol. My little sister, Irene, tried out and was on for like two seconds during the promo for the new season. God, please let there be more. So cute!

Check out the song she recorded while you wait for the show to air!

Taking the "Dull" Out of "Idol" (I-dull, Get It?)

Not even ten minutes into the season and my sister's on American Idol! Hopefully, there will be more when the Nashville auditions air. She was also mentioned during Randy's interview on Ryan's daily radio show. She's so cool!
I have to say, so far the new season is pretty entertaining. I like the contrast of the judges. The chick that loved Britney and sang the show tune was the highlight of last night's show (besides Irene's two seconds, of course). I hope to see more of her too. She honestly would be great on Broadway. It may read as too intense on the screen, but on a stage she'll be perfect.

Confidence and Parents Texting

Random thought:
My whole life people have been telling me..."you need more confidence," and "don't let people take advantage of you." The fact is, the second I start voicing my opinion and/or start standing up for myself - I sense that people think that I'm being difficult or just humoring me.

I don't want to annoy people. I want people to WANT to be around me, and people like to be around people that make them feel superior. Right? If being the generous dumb one buys me some friends, count me in. That's it.

Oh, and this is my new favorite website: http://www.whenparentstext.com/

AHS Auditions - 1994

Just when you forget about your awkward years, a friend figures out how to upload VHS tapes onto YouTube. This is a blast from the past, and so sweet of my friend Tara to put together for us.

I'm at timestamps 2:45 5:29 and 6:45...hilarious.

Alt Report Pokes Fun...At Me! :)

Here's the thing...I'm 30 years old. If Hipster Runoff (and/or) affiliates are posting me - I must have some value entertainment - wise. Or maybe it's Rambo.

Thanks to Nashville's finest video man, for letting me know: Seth Graves.

Carson's Project

Our friend Carson created this amazing table for ReTune Nashville, which is an organization dedicated to turning instruments damaged in the flood into beatiful pieces of art. The pieces will be sold at an auction/concert with some huge Country names performing. The auction is to benefit those that lost their equipment and did not have the insurance to cover it.

According to Carson, the guitar belonged to a lady that is a writer here, who just fought cancer, and then lost her gear.
